Who doesn't love the feel of a luxuriously thick plush, cozy throw?
Because they're so widely adored, these highly snuggle-able throw blankets are a hugely popular gift item.
One of our customers, Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken, asked to have some of these blankets stitched as an employee gift. I was happy to help!
Here's a little “behind the scenes secret.”
When you stitch on really thick fleece like this, not just any stitching will work. Without the right stitching technique, the heavy plush “fluffs” right over the stitches, burying all your custom embroidery.
To make sure this didn't happen, I employed a technique that uses a specific style of stitch to hold the fleece pressed down in the stitched area. This allowed the customer's embroidery to stand out and look sharp, even amidst that snuggly, plush fleece.
